When I first started writing Modern Magic, I never dared to imagine anyone else reading it aloud - certainly not professionally. But rather wonderfully, that’s exactly what’s happening.

I’m thrilled to share that Modern Magic is officially in development as an audiobook, courtesy of Tantor Media. The fantastic team there will be bringing Ivy and the Tower (and all that paperwork) to listeners in an exciting new way.

It still feels surreal that a story I once wrote between deadlines, meetings, and deal announcements is now the subject of its very own deal announcement. For a book about surviving the corporate grind, Modern Magic has turned out to be surprisingly adventurous.

And that’s not all - Tantor will also be giving the same exciting audiobook treatment to Book Two!

So, since we’re on the subject of Book Two, I thought the time was right to unveil its title:

Modern Magic: Trading Futures

New scandals, new characters, and a few familiar faces are all yet to come - the future is very much on its way. It’s proving a joy to grow the world of Modern Magic once again (even if, occasionally, it feels like the next story is getting tangled in the editing weeds).  I’m looking forward to sharing more with you as Trading Futures develops.

In the meantime, thank you to everyone who’s read, reviewed, recommended, and generally cheered this strange little world into existence. I can’t wait for you to hear it brought to life in audio.
